Step-by-Step U-Cart Guide
- Use our Concrete Calculator to determine the amount required.
- Add 5–10% extra to account for errors or spillage.
- If you run out mid-job, a refill may not be possible due to cart availability or time limits.
- Also plan ahead for how the cart will be washed out (by you or us for a fee).
- Call us with your preferred date and time or place your request online.
- At least 1 day of notice is recommended, but earlier is better, especially if you need help or are coordinating with others.
- We accept some last-minute bookings but can’t always guarantee availability.
- Have everything ready before pickup:
- Holes dug
- Forms built
- Rebar or mesh placed
- Sufficient preparation is crucial given the 3-hour limit to return the cart.
- Be at Steve’s U-Cart Concrete on time or early for your booking.
- If you’re more than 30 minutes late, your booking may be canceled.

You must complete a rental agreement form before taking a cart. Most customers fill it out when they arrive, but you’re welcome to complete it ahead of time.
You have three options:
- Fill out the form in person when you pick up your cart.
- Download and print the form, then:
- Bring the completed copy with you
- Or email a scanned version to bookings@u-cart.ca
- Download and fill out the form digitally, sign it, and email it to bookings@u-cart.ca
Important:
- You must read and agree to all terms before using the cart.
- A valid driver’s license is required at pickup — we’ll take a scan of it.
- Let us know if you need:
- Any changes to your concrete mix
- Hitch or ball rentals
- Concrete tools
- Cart wash
- Pay in full by cash, debit, Visa, or MasterCard.
A U-Cart employee will take you to the loading area and:
- Attach the cart to your vehicle.
- Secure hitch pins, breakaway cable, and safety chains.
- Level the cart and explain how to use it.
- Back the cart under the chute.
- We’ll assist or do it for you if needed.
- Dump directly into your forms if possible; otherwise, use a wheelbarrow.
- Work quickly – the sooner the cart is emptied, the easier it is.
- Bring enough helpers; doing it alone is not recommended.

- Thoroughly wash out the cart at your site, or make sure it’s completely emptied if you’ve paid for us to wash it.
- Have a plan for what to do with leftover concrete and wash water.
- Note: If you’ve paid the cart wash fee, you can return to our yard to dispose of the leftover concrete yourself.
- Return it within 3 hours of leaving our yard or fees apply, as per the Rental Agreement.
- We’ll inspect the cart for cleanliness and damage upon return.
- If clean and on time, you’re done.
- If not, cleanup and/or late fees apply.
- We’ll finalize your bill and send you on your way.
